The Egyptian grape season has started!
The producers are already preparing the first shipments of grapes in Egypt, and here in Salix, we are super excited.
This year we have available the best harvests of Early Sweet, Sugraone, Flame, Crimson Seedless, and Red Globe, so we have ahead several months of hard work in which we hope to reach hundreds of tons shipped to Europe, especially to the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Poland.
In the Far East, our destinations are Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and we will return to export to West Africa as in previous seasons (Cameroon, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Guinea).
With a sweet taste and excellent appearance, Egyptian grapes have positioned themselves very well in the market, thanks to the efforts of their producers who invest year after year to improve their products.
This increases exports (reaching 85% of its total production) and growth in the number of varieties, with seedless being the most popular worldwide.
Egypt usually has quite strict protocols for the export of grapes and this year will be no exception, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, so all shipments will be safe.
